STORIES! STORIES! STORIES! March 10th Beginning at 10am SLT!

10am - Elder Priestman - "The Onion Feast" from Zion's Cause by Jim Peyton - Set in the corn fields and on the porch of a general store in a backwater Kentucky hamlet, this lyrical first novel describes an unexpected world of poetry and heroism. In a series of vignettes that loosely document the folk history of the town of Zions Cause during the three decades following 1920, the commonplace is inextricably entwined with the epic and miraculous.

11am - Rune Draegonne with Irish Fairy Tales
Magic and lore from the homeland of mystery and intrigue. "The Giants Stairs" by T. Crofton Croker, and other short Irish Fairy tales.

11:30am - SL Clemens with The Adventures of Huck Finn
Chapter 31 from "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn": possibly the most significant chapter in the book as Huck faces the moral dilemma of stealing Jim back from a farmer the duke had sold him to.  Dialiect and some offensive language.

Noon - Lycanthia Wolfhunter with Angela Carter's  The Lady of the House of Love.
The story begins in an abandoned Romanian village on the eve of the First World War, where the Countess, "queen of the vampires," lives. Ghosts live with her in the castle, but she keeps herself alone in a dusty, rotting and lightless suite. Until.....

1:00pm - Wolfgang Glinka with Original Poetry and Flash Fiction
I am a bit shy, a bit sensitive, a bit of a show off and way too passionate. I am a wolf with a human form, a writer - novelist and poet in Real Life and here in Second life. My passions are writing, music, humour and friends. Second Life is fun, challenging and it is teaching me a lot about myself. There is more to come, I hope.  www.wolfiewolfgang.com

1:30pm - Break
2:00pm - Dubhna Rhiadra & Caledonia Skytower with Terry Pratchett's The Wee Free Men
Introducing the Nac Mac Feegle- blue-skinned, red-haired, tattooed Pictsies, they wear kilts, carry BIG swords, and enjoy creating mayhem. Storyfest is being held on Nac Mac Feegle territory so we couldn't keep them out!

2:30pm - Corwyn Allen with “Eyes of Dust” from the collection I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream  by Harlan Ellison –  “In the kingdom of the blind, a one–eyed man is God.” Contrariwise, in a world of absolute beauty, who labels ugliness?

3:00pm - Derry McMahon with "The Good, The Bad,  and The Fae - of Scotland."
Derry McMahon brings several fine tales of the wee folk - the good, the bad, the fae, the witches, and more - of Scotland.  Seanchai Library's Queen Bee enjoys chick lit, folk and fairy tales, Arthurian legends, and the rare foray into science fiction. She serves as the Librarian for Seanchai, one of SL's longest running storytelling venues, in continuous operation since March 2008.  http://bit.ly/seanchai

3:30pm - Gyro Muggins with Sci-Fi Potpourri
Gyro brings his refines sense fo Sci-Fi literarure to this series of short stories including: "The Game of the Name" by Alice Laurance; "Down the Digestive Track"  by Robert Sheckley; "Dog Star" by Mack Reynolds; and "Nightmare in Time" by Fredrick Pohl.  30 minutes, 6 stories, no waiting!

4:00pm – BigRed Coyote with Romantic Celtic Fairy Tales.
Two classics from Joseph Jacobs’ collections of Irish Myths and Legends: “Guleesh” and “Connla and the Fairy Maiden.”  All about love found, denied and sometimes lost, and eventually regained though not without some toil in the bargain.

4:30pm - Crap Mariner with 100 Word Stories
Always unpredictable and irreverent, no subject is too sacred, no cow too holy for Crap not to pull it out, examine it, and bang it on the table a few times before putting it back where he found it - albeit slightly crumpled.  Long ago, he swore an oath to write a 100 word story every day until the day he died. He's not dead yet.  And no, he NEVER has opinions!
